Ray Di Pietro is a Photojournalist and Shutterstock News Contributor based in Nashville, Tennessee. Historian. Documenting politics, people, current events, and social issues.  Assignment work includes The Wall Street Journal, Financial Times, and The Free Press. Alongside work featured as a Shutterstock news contributor (The Times, Time Magazine, The Guardian, People, The Daily Beast, ABC News, San Francisco Chronicle, Daily Mail, New York Magazine, New York Post, Semafor, and more), Di Pietro has contributed to  Rolling Stone, Washington Post, Vogue, Billboard, and the NBC Nightly News with Lester Holt, as well as locally for NewsChannel5 (Interview and work from 2020 protests), The Tennessean, WPLN Nashville Public Radio, Axios Nashville, Tennessee Lookout, Nashville Scene, Nashville Scene Street Style, WNXP, The News, and The Contributor. Work has been shown at the Frist Art Museum in Nashville in the 2019 exhibit, ‘Connect/Disconnect: Growth in the “It” City’ (‘This Doorway Was His Home’ photograph was included on the exhibit signage and catalog cover). Photographs are included in the collections of the Nashville Civil Rights Center at the Downtown Public Library and the Tennessee State Museum, as well as featured in the book ‘The People’s Plaza Sixty-Two Days of Nonviolent Resistance’ by Justin Jones, published by Vanderbilt University Press.
